Hello brothers..
I've been wondering about this for quite sometime. Some of you may have gotten their items via international orders/shipping(Grimm, Hiroki1998 just to name a few).
Though I have tried it only once and it went well(USPS, waiting for half a month, paying the custom crocs), i have yet to received an ordered item via UPS or DHL..
So here are my questions..
1. If the items were to be shipped via UPS/DHL, will I receive em right in front of my doorsteps(door-to-door delivery)?
2. Do I still need to settle some custom fees for em or paying for such delivery at almost the same rate as the ordered items leaves me free of the fees?
3.If I receive my items via UPS/DHL before Christmas, which beer is better? Colt 45 or Redhorse?
Enlighten me! ;D

Shipping an item thru a special carrier such as UPS or DHL would not go thru regular customs and will go straight to your doorstep. Its only the price thats the problem.
I prefer a Toffee Nut Frap from Starbucks. ;D

But of course, after the beer. Pampababa ng amats! ;D

In my opinion... its better to pay extra to the courier service than have all the crocs at customs eat all your money infront of you!
The satisfaction of having it delivered to your doorstep is great! plus you can ask the delivery guy to join you in your celebration! ;D
The hassle of haggling with the crocs at EMS office will make your head hurt overnight! As if you've lost money in the casino! ;D
Last but not the least... Better to have the COLT 45 and some chicharon or sisig! Yummy! ;D

I have a 3k worth item shipped via usps and they(crocs) taxed me bout half the price for em! Good thing the croc volunteered to offer "the receiptless option"(half the tax)! And must agree with having the satisfaction for getting your items shipped right in front of your doorsteps is worth spending some extra dough. Can I just bribe em with doughnuts? ;D Thanks for sharing your thoughts brothers! And lastly, I'd take a bottle or two of either beer! Ice-cold with sisig! ;D Cheers!

Toy Wave charges extra 4% when you pay via paypal for online purchases. Do they do so with payment by Money Order or not? Does this goes also with HLJ?

The 4% is a Paypal surcharge. Regardless of what site you go to, this is always constant.
4% will not appear in money order.

Wow! Luckily in the province, Pangasinan in my case, i only pay P35, and that comes with a receipt! It only goes to show that there are really a lot of crocs in the metro! But i'm just curious, how do they compute the tax at customs! Often when i ask the PO if a package of mine has arrived, and i ask how much, they would say P35 plus ung sa customs pag meron. Luckily i would end up paying just P35 regardless of the size!

@ hiro: Thanks for the info.
@ ligerzerho: They showed me a receipt with the amount and since I don't really want to pay such, they offered the alternative. Of course, I'd rather not look into the details of their computations and get my stuffs asap, but will try the next time to see how they come up with such. I also paid P30.00 for storage fee before the "alternative".

Why go for EMS when your item could be here in 7 to 14 days max via Air PArcel or SAL? Its less hassle... a bit less tax... but same ending. Items goes right to your home.

Not delivered to your home, straight. I really feel that experience is the best teacher. All these questions are nothing if you're not willing.
