I'm now into finishing a 2nd batch of cars, just waiting for the trimmed tires na pinagawa ko specfically for every cars. Actually sumabak na rin sila lately for several races and they are doing fine. Some lumalaban till semi finals and some already got there 1st win (sa awa ng Diyos hehe). BTW bro Grimm regarding the tamiya project that we are talking about hehe. Will update ones I had time. Thanks for viewing.. and more power ZPH

I miss having to do this. My brothers and I all owned at least 2 cars and would modify them using only original Tamiya parts. And man did those cars cost an arm and a leg. Sadly, the penchant for these babies faded here in manila. But it'd be nice to try and race again.

Really is expensive.. Rims and Tires alone costs me PHP500 to PHP600.. Not to mention parts, car kit, paint, decals, etc...

I remember we even bought the diomars nero and spin viper as an alternate body for some of the race cars we had. This thing is really fun to build and the dynamics depending on the races would actually depend on the type of seyup you have. Do you still race sir? I still see a lot of the really nice kits and the parts prices have actually gone down considerably. So it'd probably be great to do this again. Plus I now see the pro bodies with the 3 piece chassis and dual pinion motors. ;D

I do race, but very seldom. If time permits.. medyo busy kasi. ;D
The kit your referring to with motor that has 2 pinions is the MS PRO. This car is primarily designed for speed race.

I really miss this!!! I remember some of the cars I had were: - Astro Boomerang - Liberty Emperor - Gun Bluster, CUSCO special - Broken Gigant, Black Special - Beat Magnum TRF - even bought the chrome body version of this hehehehe ;D - Strato Vector and the Bergkaiser.
Sigh.... I wish I had all of these cars again. My brother and I would even buy the special decals for these cars! We would custom paint them and add the special decals after....
All these pictures have gotten me itchin to buy one again!!!!

Bili bili na Sir hehe. Masarap bumalik sa mga magagandang alaala. As for the cars you mentioned halos lahat pede sa Tech Race Format except for Beat Magnum.. Maganda siya sa Speed Technical. Yung iba kasi dyan pag nilagay sa TZ, TZX and FM (of course modification is needed) maganda ang takbo

i had only one tamiya. it was shining scorpion. i have spray painted it black and applied 3 black stickers resembling a slash at the hood. i still have it with me. I bought a dynamo for it, the most expensive one ( i forgot the name though). I have even my own small race track at my house. ill try to put them together again if i'll have extra time.

I'm guessing you bought the plasma dash. At the time I was into this, it was the most expensive I think. Plus the design of the dynamo was different from all the rest. hmmmm... now I really miss these cars...
